Working Member-Owner Program

Save on your shopping when you give back to the community by becoming a working-member!

Get involved, give back, and get a discount! Member-owners can save 10% or 15% every time you shop with us when you volunteer on community projects and with local nonprofit organizations. Some working member-owners provide yoga, massage, or other services; garden in the community; or serve on co-op committees or our Board of Directors.

Volunteer and Save!

  • 10% discount: Working member-owners must complete two hours per month per adult in the household (up to three additional adults).
  • 15% discount: Working member-owners must complete four hours per month per adult in the household (up to three additional adults).

Any adult member of the household may fulfill the volunteer hours obligation.

Get Started!

  1. Sign up for a program orientation by emailing Caitlin at caitlin.vonschmidt@franklincommunity.coop.
  2. Contact an organization to get started as a volunteer.
  3. Log your hours on your working member-owner card, available in both stores.
  4. Discount is processed and applied automatically to your member number. Member-owners must be in good standing to participate in the working-member program.
